Even if their team is not going to the Super Bowl, millions of people love an excuse to party. So party we will. Tell us what your ideal Super Bowl Celebration (or any sports party) looks like by answering:

I am not having a party this year but wanted to answer anyway. There are a few questions about alcohol (Yes, I know not healthy) but I decided to leave them in. Most of my answers do not fit the blog theme (HEALTHY) but sometimes you gotta splurge.

1. What’s your favorite _____ that you’ll serve at the party (name one item for each):
a. choice of beer Not a beer drinker.
b. choice of wine Any red wine.
c. choice of distilled spirit. Again not really my thing

e. choice of chip. Pita Chips/Pop Chips/ Or Cheese Puff

2. What will you wear at the party? Jeans and a T-shirt. I will wear a Jersey is the Cowboys ever make it again.

3. You will be having your very own half time show at the football party. What is that half-time show? Briefly describe. I don’t know where to begin. maybe some karaoke……

4. What team do you wish was playing in the Super Bowl? Dallas Cowboys—-Texas Girl At Heart!

5. The NY Giants and New England Patriots are in Super Bowl 2012, who do you want to win?  (ummm…yeah, I had to google that info…LOL) Who everyone else want to lose 🙂

Manic Monday Challenge #3

Sorry I am posting this so late tonight. Not feeling so well but here it goes!

Last Weeks Challenege

Get at least 1 minutes of active yesterday every day. Did you do it! I did every day but Saturday. Dance parties, gyms, and my favorite was Sunday. Some of the shopping centers near by have a play area so we walked the shopping center, took my daughter to play, and had frozen yogurt. So much fun!

Challenge #3

Who is ready for the next challenge? No Fast Food! Thats right no fast food this week! I should be able to do this but I am not sure. I will be running errands all day tomorrow so I better find something. Also my play group always meets at Chick Fi la  or Mcdonalds on Fridays. I can do this! I will pack a lunch or eat before I go.

I’m A Grazer!

It hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday; I am a grazer! Yesterday morning as I was making my girls breakfast I tossed a piece of cereal in my mouth and licked the yogurt spoon clean. Harmless right? NO!

After I realized what I did I decided that I wanted to track just how much I nibble in one day. I found I am at my worst when I make my kids their food. Often I have to cut it up, especially since G is only 14 months old. As I cut or rip it apart I grab a small piece here or there. Also, after they get done eating if there is only a bite or two left and I will eat it up. So yesterday every time I wanted to put something in my bottomless pit of a stomach I put aside. By the end of the day I had an interesting collection: cereal, cut up chicken, peas, corn, popcorn, pretzels, cut up pork, half a banana, and that’s not counting wanting to lick the spoon clean of yogurt, mashed potatoes, and pudding. Before you ask, no I did not put the spoons to the side. I figured out about how much was on them and wrote it down. By the end of the night grazing would have added 674 extra calories to my day! That is more than half my calories allowed in one day. WOW! I  know my grazing is worse when it’s not a day at home. I have the habit of eating that last chicken nugget or the few lonely fries.

I am betting if you are a grazer you do it without thinking just like I do. Make a point to think about every piece of food you put in your mouth. Do what I did and see how many calories you are saving yourself.

Cinnamon Pancake Muffins!

Only 230 Calories!!! 3 Pancake Muffins with 1/2 Cup Sugar Free Applesauce

OK you are going to think I had these for dinner this morning but really it was a late night snack last night. One of my first post was Pancake Doughnuts so I got to thinking tonight when I wanted pancakes but did not want to stand in the kitchen and make them. Normally, I wouldn’t mind but I have a sick Hubby and my oldest, A, is sick too so fast and easy. Pancake Muffins!!! These are filling, yummy, easy, freezable, and low-calorie! Just be careful what you eat your muffins with. If you drowned them in syrup your sugar and calorie intake will soar. I like to dip them in 1/2 cup of sugar-free applesauce, only 50 calories.

Makes 15 Muffins ~~ Serving Size 3 Muffins ~~  Calories Per Serving 180

  • 2 cups of dry Hungry Jack Complete Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • 1 1/3 cup of water
  • Cinnamon to taste

 

  1. Mix all ingredients together till only slightly lumpy. Allow mix to sit a few minutes for best texture.
  2. Fill lined muffin cups 1/2 full.
  3. Bake on 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Muffins are done when you can insert toothpick and remove it clean.
  4. Allow to cool a minute and enjoy!!

WOULD YOU RATHER…?

It’s that time again! Learn about your blogger. TMITiesday has brought us some interesting and some disturbing questions. Read my answers and leave me yours!

1. Would you rather wear the same pair of unwashed socks for 2 years or wear the same pair of unwashed underwear for 1 year? Explain.

First of all let me say, YUCK! I am going with socks. Yes they would be crusty and smelly but not as many germs and areas to get infected.

2. Would you rather eat a baby or be eaten by a giant baby? Explain.

Well I am not a cannibal and I don’t think eating baby fits in my diet so I guess be eaten by a big baby. Hopefully soon I will be bone and muscle and I wont look appetizing!

3. Would you rather steal money from your Grandfather in the past or steal money from a Grandchild in the future? Why?

This is a hard one! I do not condone stealing at all but i guess steal from my grandpa in the past. I know that is bad but it is better than stealing from a child.

4. Would you rather be trapped in a cave full of vampire bats or put a large jar full of bees (opened) in your pants?

Bats freak me out an I am allergic to bees! This is a no win question! I think I would pick the bees because if I stay really still I might not get stung. Plus, I can have my epi-pen near by so it wont be so scary.

5. Would you rather be a person with a head that is noticeably big for your body or have a head that is disproportionately small compared to the rest of your body?

I would go with the big head so I can say I have a big brain.

Yes, its Monday again! Don’t look so bummed the work week may just be starting but so is another Manic Monday Challenge.

Last Weeks Challenge

Get 15 minutes of exercise everyday last week. Were you able to do it? I did it 5 days out of the week. I spent some time at the gym, dancing with the kids, working at home, and went on some walks. I would love to hear how you did.

Challenge #3

This weeks challenge may be easy or tough. When I first started eating better it would of been horrible on me. No unhealthy desserts or snacks for a week. That means no cookies, chocolate, candy, cakes, ect. Snacks and desserts can be yogurt, fruit, pretzels, anything not sweet junk. How well do you think you will do?
